The Reman Resistance was formed originally by Remans wanting to no longer be controlled by the Romulan Star Empire. However, in 2290, when the Borg destroyed most of the Star Empire, the Remans realized the Borg were a greater threat, but due to aggressive actions by Romulans who left the Coalition, were forced to fight both the Collective and the Romulan Resistance.
It is not widely known, but they have strong ties with Ariana Llehctim's Splinter Collective.
